Plant Materials Engineer

Manage and oversee plant manufacturing machinery and production line.  Develop, upgrade, customize and maintain specialized packaging machine equipment, working with machine builders, to add automation to customer fulfillment. Train personnel on operation and upgrade of customized machine equipment. Provide technical support to sales teams and customers.  Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Plastics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing or related technical field, plus two years of work experience in managing engineering and manufacturing operations in the packaging industry; developing, installing and maintaining packaging machine equipment; and working with specialty vendors providing engineering products and services.  Requires 20% employer-reimbursed domestic or international travel.   Experience may be gained concurrently.
