PAC Worldwide is a proud member of the communities it resides in and the world we share. We believe in order to make a difference it has to start on a local level.

On a local level we have office recycling programs in place, as well as contribute to ongoing food, clothing and “back to school” drives. Being a manufacturer, it is very important that we constantly look at our processes and ways that we can contribute to decreasing our carbon footprint and to being more environmentally conscience. We have recently formed a “green team” committee who has the responsibility to aggressively find ways that we can become even “greener”. Below you will find practices that are currently in place at PAC:

RENEWABLE ENERGY

  • 50% of our office and manufacturing electricity is offset with Green-e Certified® Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs) through a purchase of 2,316 MWh, which prevents the release of more than 3 million pounds of carbon dioxide (CO2), a leading global warming gas.
  • We joined the EPA Green Power Partnership, a voluntary program that encourages organizations to buy green power as a way to reduce the environmental impacts associated with purchased electricity use. To learn more, visit www.epa.gov/greenpower.
  • PAC Worldwide's investment will contribute to further the development of new wind energy generation necessary for a clean energy future.

PAPERBOARD MANUFACTURING

  • We use 100% Post-Consumer Recycled paperboard.
  • 95% of board scrap is recycled.
  • 90% of plastic scrap is recycled.
  • 100% of adhesives waste are confined and sent to a recycling plant.
  • 100% of toxic and hazard residues (Oil, Solvents, and Impregnated solids) are confined and sent to a certified vendor.
  • We use 70% water based adhesives.

PLASTICS MANUFACTURING

  • Inclusion of up to 15% PCR in some polyethylene products.
  • Inclusion of recycled paper and OCC in some paper products.
  • We recycle internally generated polyethylene scrap.
  • U.S. printing utilizes 100% water based inks.
  • We recycle used inks through an environmentally friendly process.
  • Pallets utilized are 100% reusable and recyclable.

 

  • Scrap corrugate is baled and processed through a recycler.
  • Lubricants are recycled.
  • We utilize low energy lighting.
  • Corrugated, cradles, cores all recycled.
  • All corrugated used is made of 35% recycled materials.
  • Waste oils, solvents are 100% recycled.
  • Timers used on all equipment for reducing energy.
  • Less than 1% ppm of lead in all of our products.
