(SEATTLE, WA)—Four years after introducing its innovative, patent-pending, curbside recyclable, paper padded mailer, Ecojacket® Flex, PAC Worldwide has raised the sustainability bar again. With its unique flexible padded design, the Ecojacket Flex has helped global eCommerce companies and couriers meet their customers’ demands for more sustainable packaging.
Now, the Ecojacket suite of paper packaging has expanded to include an automated solution with our Eco PACjacket® machine and a gusseted paper mailer, the Ecojacket® Max.
The Eco PACjacket is an automated packaging system that converts a single web of recyclable paper and converts it into a fixed or variable length mailer. It makes mailers from flat or padded paper rolls that are third-party tested and verified curbside recyclable.
The proprietary design and technology of the system creates a strong, high-quality seal on each package which provides superior strength and reduces the number of seals necessary to make a finished package, a significant advantage for high-volume e-commerce shippers and fulfillment centers. The system leverages the nearly 20-year legacy of the PACjacket® machine, which has changed the game for fulfillment in some of the largest eCommerce companies in the world.
Consumer products traditionally shipped in boxes—books, soft goods, cosmetics, jewelry, toys, pharmaceuticals and clothing—are prime candidates for the innovative system. Many of these products typically arrive in bulky corrugated paper boxes with large quantities of void fill.
The Ecojacket Max mailer is a flat paper mailer made from strong extensible paper for durability with side gussets that expand to increase fill capacity and processing efficiency. Customized options include dual peel and seal for customer reusability, two-color print capability, and a wicketed version for faster fulfillment. The mailer is also third-party tested and verified curbside recyclable.
“Our Ecojacket line checks all the boxes regarding quality, performance, and sustainability,” said Thomas Parenteau, PAC Worldwide President. “It is a game changer in the flexible packaging category.”
These sustainable solutions are part of the Seattle-based company’s deep line-up of customized and stock packaging solutions, which feature a wide array of paper-based and poly options. PAC’s customer base ranges from large Fortune 50 consumer packaged goods brands to eCommerce companies, distributors, and couriers.
The Eco PACjacket and Ecojacket MAX debut publicly at Pack Expo International in Chicago, November 3-6 (Booth # N-5475).
