Pledge of Ongoing Support Enables Red Cross to Provide Help and Hope
(SEATTLE, WA) — PAC Worldwide, headquartered in Redmond, WA, is being recognized by the American Red Cross today for supporting Red Cross Biomedical Services as an Annual Corporate Member.
Annual Corporate Members pledge donations on an ongoing basis to support the Red Cross’s mission to prevent and alleviate human suffering in the face of emergencies. Red Cross services are provided to those in need of assistance at no cost and regardless of income through the help of Red Cross donors.
“The American Red Cross relies on the generosity of our volunteers, donors and partners to fulfill our lifesaving mission,” said Don Herring, chief development officer at the American Red Cross. “Thanks to the support of PAC Worldwide and other annual donors, the Red Cross is ready to provide comfort to people in need whenever and wherever they need it.”
“Corporate Social Responsibility is very important to PAC Worldwide. Our CSR policy is made up of three tenets (Volunteerism, Sponsorship and In-kind donation). We have supported the Red Cross through volunteerism and sponsorship and today I am proud to announce we are partnering with and supporting the Red Cross with an in-kind donation of bubble for their Biomedical Services Division. The Red Cross touches so many lives and PAC looks forward to supporting the Red Cross in any way we can for many years to come” said VP of Communications John Bartell of PAC Worldwide.
Each year, the Red Cross provides much-needed support to patients across the country by collecting nearly 4.9 million units of blood from more than 2.8 million volunteer donors. These donations are then processed into approximately 6.75 million blood products for transfusion to meet the needs of accident and burn victims, heart surgery and organ transplant patients and those receiving treatments for leukemia, cancer or sickle cell.
Generous annual donors value the local impact and global reach of the Red Cross, have a deep commitment to the Red Cross mission and are ready to help save lives every day of the year.
Individuals can help people affected by disasters by making a gift to the Red Cross. These donations enable the Red Cross to prepare for, respond to and help people recover from disasters big and small.
